Here at NAA, we have a crack team of mathmeticians who have endeavored to answer the age old puzzle “Do aliens exist? On the surface, it would seem that they are “out there” given the fact that there are billions of stars in billions of galaxies … many with earth like planets. It’s hard to think they do not exist in some quantity. BUT using simple mathematics the NAAite whizzes shall endeavor to prove aliens are not real.
We shall assume to begin that P=1 with P being the probability that aliens do exist. Our challenge is to prove that P actually equals zero.
Let us begin:
Step 1: X=Y (A simple starting equation)
Step 2: Multiple both sides by X. You Get: X2 = XY
Step 3: Add X2 to both sides. You Get : 2X2 = X2+ + XY
Step 4: Subtract 2XY from both sides. You Get: 2 X2 – 2XY= X2-XY
Step 5: Factor both sides. You Get: 2(X2-XY) = X2-XY
Step 6: Multiply both sides by P. You Get: 2P(X2-XY) = P(X2-XY)
Step 7: Divide both sides by X2-Xy. You Get: 2P=P
Step 8: Subtract P from both sides: You Get : P = 0
(Quid Erat Demonstrandum)
So as you can see, using nothing but basic algebra, we have converted the probability of aliens existing from P=1 to P=0. Therefore we can conclude that aliens, in fact, do not exist. But perhaps you … the humble reader … might have a different take on the mathematical certitude provided above.
